

My Story
Dr. Kessler has over 30 years of industry experience and has served in a variety of entrepreneurial and advisory roles in the life science and high-tech fields.
He recently served as Senior Partner Intellectual Property at Arm Semiconductor. He was co-founder of ChaoLogix, Inc., a company that created and developed a new generation of secure-communication chips. He served as its President and as a member of the Board until the company was acquired by Arm, Inc. in 2017. Before joining ChaoLogix, he was Vice President of Corporate Development at Ixion, a development-stage biotech company. Dr. Kessler was Director of Intellectual Properties and Technology Transfer at Univax (later Nabi) Biopharmaceuticals, a drug/vaccine development company. During his tenure at Univax the company went public, raising $44 million in its IPO. He served as science adviser to a Washington, D.C. law firm and as a patent examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Dr. Kessler received a BS in Zoology from the University of South Florida and during that time served as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. He subsequently earned a Ph.D. in Molecular and Population Genetics from the University of Georgia. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neurobiology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
